SkinBeasts

Skin Beasts are cursed creatures, their sacklike bodies impressing fear deep onto the heartss of hose who have encountered them. Demented servants of the flesh Demon Tuvon, these strange creatures amble and warble in the strangest of places.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Skin beasts typically take on a humanoid form, but their bodies are naturally absent of orifices. They do not appear to have bones, instead their strength and structure is born from rope like chords of muscle, with a knot at the place of a skull. From a distance they can be quite easily mistaken for an aged human or other race.

Genetics and Reproduction

The creatures are inherently sexless, and are born directly from from the body of the demon lord Tuvon.

Growth Rate & Stages

They are "born" with minimal intelligence, and will simply wonder aimlessly. Tuvon may have imbued a skinbeast with a purpose, and in that case, the creature will at all stages of life be drawn towards completing it. Whenever the beast is injured it gains new orifices and organs in no particular order. It becomes more adept at using these organs and its body. Typically at this point the creature will complete its life task, whatever that may be, and then is dissolved

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

When born these creatures have no orifices, and thus are deaf, mute, blind, and cannot sweat or otherwise excrete. As the skinbeasts age, and become injured, any wounds that they suffer will become a fully functioning orifice. The most aged of skinbeasts will have dozens of unusually shaped and situated eyes mouths and ears. Skinbeasts are not known to have any particular magical or psychic affinity. Older skinbeasts will become adept using their bodies and often show greater intelligence

Origin/Ancestry

These creatures are either birthed from, or transformed by, Tuvon the Demon Lord of Silken Flesh

Conservation Status

These creatures are under the protection of Tuvon, acolytes of the demon lord will protect skinbeasts. However this protection is no guarantee, as the skinbeat cares not for any, even those who might save it
