The Ballans
Some of the harshest of lands are grouped together and known collectively as the Ballans. More realistically some describe the area as multiple lands, Balesh, Balfe, Balille, Balpass and occasionally the Black lake. These are the native lands of Goblins, and it is a twisted and unpleasant environment.
Due to this environmental harshness, Goblins have in fact managed to maintain some semblance of control over the land, giving way to a vast number of breweries in the nation. Goblin language is spoken here more than it is in any other region.
Demographics
Ork, Goblin, Low Okanese, Doglanders, Dwarf, and the occasional elf. Most are refugees and criminals, those who have been forced out of other cites for their necromantic practices, or have had to flee to escape bounty.
A ramshackle nation if ever there was one, it is almost severed by the mountains that pierce it.
Government
Goblin law is often quite relaxed, taxes are minimal, and building requirements are particularly lax.
Defences
Spread across mountains, and a series of islands in a raging sea, the land is naturally well defended. Some may consider the black sea to be part of the Ballans, that very idea being a defence itself.
Infrastructure
Breweries, Dockyards, and a surprisingly extensive sewer system, are the highlights of Ballans infrastructure.
Assets
If ever you wished to obtain illicit goods, or commune with the dead, there is no better place. This land has more breweries and distilleries than any other nation, it being a home to many experimental arts, and the native territory of goblins (who's taste and tolerance for ale goes unparalleled).
Frankly anything could well be bought for the right price, from the right person.
Architecture
Wood and straw goblin huts are common throughout the lands, however a variety of domicile styles exist here, ranging from slanting shanty to exuberant wizards tower.
Geography
A band of unwanted lands south of Okan, the arse is quite diverse. Islands, Mountains, marshes and arguably the black lake.
Natural Resources
Salt, Ice, and small goldmine on the northern coast facing Thrurun.
