The carved city

The carved city of stone is an ancient dwarven ruin. It is a masterfully sculpted and chiselled city. The grand gates are left open before it hanging dangerously loose from the mouth of the cave above. The Carved city is an unusual place, it may once have been a temple to an ancient mountain god or giant. The mountain in its entirerty has been carved with beautifully organic curves, mimicing the structures found inside a dwarven body, quite litterally. A grand mountainside has been carved, to make the shape of bearded dwarven face, the mouth of which opens to reveal the entrance to the city. Any map of the city appears as an anatomical diagram, there being a pipes like veins running through the city in its entirity, all running to an ancient throne at the very heart of the city. Lung rooms, bowl rooms, rooms for every organ, spread distendent through the mountain and down into the deep. it is a beauty and a marvel to navigate the land.

Purpose / Function

It was once a grand city or temple but now it has been left to rot and decay. Great numbers of dragons have nested here as well as numerous other beasts. Anyone wishing to explore this land is certainly in for a challenge as they do so. Nests of thousands of coal dragons slumber in the lung rooms, along with other grander dragons and nasties. Creatures infest the living city like parasites or viruses inside of a body,

Architecture

It is a unique dwarven city carved in a notably organic style that is seen nowhere else in all of castordia. However the mouth to the city is of notably dwarven design, being carved in the style of a dwarven face, also of distinctly dwarven design are the various mechanisms that run throughout it.
