Guineer

The Guineer are an ancient race of Fey who serve as the guardians and warriors of the Fey Courts. While a subservient race, they have a respected position within elven society. Often called simply "Dark Elves" by outsiders, the Guineer are noted for their darker skin and potent anti-magical capabilities.
Legends state they were originally the creation of the goddess Áine. Then they had a position as great artisans, sculptors and musicians. However, they were stolen from her by Balor when he joined the pantheon, to exhibit how the Fey gods had made themselves weak. Balor turned the Guineer into a fighting force to defend the Courts, and seemingly gave them their antimagical traits as a mockery of their formal arcane prowess. 
Today the Guineer are the militant arm of the courts, and should outsiders invade their hallowed lands, they will be the ones to swiftly remove them. This has earned them a particular hatred by the other races of the world.
