Mazhar Zayif

The Exiled Lands were not always the Exiled lands. A relative backwater compared to the affairs of the world, it was largely forgotten and was not actually assimilated into the Achaemenid Empire. Thinking it a barren, inhospitable badland, the Empire dumped its unwanted people there, not realizing it was already inhabited.
The Zayif people were an isolated tribe of humans who formed a fall fishing community for survival shortly after the end of the Invasion. Stranded on a strange world, they instilled in themselves a deep seated belief in rules.
The Zayif people prospered, expanding to much of the northern tip of Jhanin. About 800 years ago however, they were conquered by the Giants of Jhanin, seaking to take the whole continent. Since then, they’ve embraced an isolationist policy and somewhat declined, giving up the city of Jian Zayif and fighting a civil war that lead to the destruction of Ghaz Zayif.
