Pale Dwevan

Pale Dwevan, also known as Pale Dwarves, or simply the Pale, are the descendants of the Dwarven Empire who did not give in their oppressors, but rather hid deep in the earth to avoid capture. The largest groups of them are in the old mountain strongholds of  Jhanin, though some may also be found in Dath.
Unlike their surface-dwelling brethren, the Pale are short and stout compared to other races, and have their namesake white skin and hair. Pale Dwevan have perfect vision in the dark, but possess a vulnerability to sunlight.
The Pale Dwevan are warped creatures. Mistrustful of surface dwellers and often more than a little mad. They are prone to capture surface dwellers and turning them in slaves, sacrifices, and even food. Pale Dwevan have an inbuilt hatred of Kyn, hating them for robbing them of their ancient glory.
