Centaur

Half Humanoid, Half Beast A kingdom long ago existed where humanoids and animals of all kinds could live together peacefully. Each respected, helped, and strived among one another. However, when the War of the Gods began, this kingdom became one of the first battlefields used to test mass magic environments. This magic rendered the afflicted paralyzed and unable to move. However, it did not affect the animals that lived with them. The animals made a plea to Maire, to allow their humanoid companions to live once more, even if it cost the animals their lives. Maire, with great respect for the animals, merged the two creature types together, and created the Centaur.
Centaur of the World
Centaurs embody any four legged animal that allows their elf-like torso to sit around where the head may have been. However, horses or other equid animals are the most common. Centaur tend to travel in wild packs, and make trouble wherever they go. However, in the lands of Xenna some Centaur have started to become Knights of Shemia, and break away from their familial history.
In the Eyes of the People
Heroic Centaur are known for being the teachers of heroes, with beings like Perseus Eurymedon, the otherworldly hero, Sou Takeyama, the Skillful Samurai, and Cyrus Korgalson, the Demonsbane. But Centaur’s are not only known for who they train, but are beginning to be seen as heroes in their own right, like Naiomi Fellanders. However, most Centaur are known for being wild individuals that seldom know the customs of a settlement, and tend to not pay much attention to them regardless. As such, some may be left at arms length, out of fear of being trampled.
