Eladria

Eladria is a planet much like any other. A world of darkness, hunger, survival, brutality, and fear, but also with love, warmth, friendship, and companionship. The world is full of magic, wonder, mysteries, and excitement, but corruption seeds its way through all things. From the cold North and South poles, to the warm temperate rainforests of Sellia, the world is varied, and rich in biomes, culture, and peoples. However, the world is dangerous, with monsters lurking around every corner. It may be up to you to fight off the tides of the dark that fight to consume the world, or you may join them in their sea of corruption.

Magic is baked into certain aspects of the world, with certain cities essentially running on it. Every city has some form of magical involvement in it, whether that be a crystal wall that encases a central castle, or a city made of flying buildings with floating bridges, and crystals of light. Most low level magic is accessible to the general public, although it may cost too much for most people to dream of.

All kinds of people inhabit this world, which provides for a large collection of differing potential characters! From heroes to villains, to anyone in between, anyone can inhabit the land, from the dunes of the desert, to the cities’ underbellies.

A Brief History

Eladria’s history began in the Realm of Gods, the home plane of the deities of Eladria. The deities abandoned this plane after a massive civil war left only one hundred of them alive. After fleeing their shame, the deities came upon a gigantic plane of chaos. They used their power to create a Planar Cosmology, by separating the concepts, energies, and creatures, into their own harmonious planes. With their brand new canvas, the deities went on creating. They made anything you may come across, except for the planets which already existed, and dragons! Dragons existed from the first world, and quickly integrated themselves here. Two draconic deities joined Eladria’s pantheon. After creating and teaching their new creations, a deity named Fellas began to kill his kin, in search for power, absorbing each essence, and becoming more crazed with each kill. During this time, a mortal woman ascended to become the Goddess of Death. This led to the War of Deities, which was waged across several thousand years. Fellas, now known as Krackle, gained several allies in other deities, but his efforts were eventually stopped, as an opposition of mortals, demigods, and deities stopped their attacks and imprisoned Krackle for all eternity. Since then, most of the deities have been more hands off, and the civilizations of Eladria have progressed to the point of the beginnings of technological industrialization, with magical mastery closely tied to it.

The First World

It is debated what the actual first world was, however, the first beings to inhabit Eladria were the dragons. Bahamut and Tiamat, the previous king and queen of all dragons, have since abandoned this world, but they left behind two daughters. Reyliera, a behemoth of a bronze dragon, and a black dragon twice her size named Mierka. They both embody their predecessors in their divine abilities, and personalities.
