Apelings have brown or black fur that covers most of their bodies, except for some parts where they have bare skin. While not being directly related to, they closely resemble humans, and are even capable of mating with humans under the right circumstances. Apelings come from the jungles of Sellia, but have spread throughout the world.
Beings of the Clay and Stone
During the Age of Creation, Yullke was fascinated about many different species. One of such was the Ape. Being fairly close to what they had thought of for humans, they created them. From that, the humans and apes of Sellia grew closer, eventually creating societies that blended the two together. However, a great plague came and threatened to wipe out all of the apes in these new societies. Maire, worried for both, came up with the plan to turn the apes into a half humanoid version of themselves, and got to work. With the help of Memoria, and using clay and stone to fill in the gaps, he created the Vanara, also known as Apelings.
Apeling of the World
Vanara come with a variety of differences, however, most have a brownish coat, with dexterous lanky bodies. Vanara can adapt anywhere, but they mostly exist in tropical climates. Vanara began as a people of the jungle, living among the trees, and some still do. However a lot of Vanara have spread across the world, and are usually fairly integrated in some societies.
In the Eyes of the People
Vanara can mostly go unnoticed in human societies, and are treated essentially as such. They are not necessarily treated well, but are not treated poorly because of their ancestry.
