Mokomoko
The Mokomoko are an omnivorous species, evolved from agamids. Though their ancestors spoke Māori, most now only know Coptic. Because of their deep connection with the ocean, Mokomokos’ Native Element is Water. Thus their Opposed Element is Fire.
An adaptable and gregarious people who seek and form close-knit communities, with their own kind as well as other species and even animals. They often adopt pets, engage in animal husbandry and aquaculture. They rarely participate in prejudices and boundaries between peoples.
While often the openness of the Mokomoko can lead to their culture being overshadowed by others, they share a kindred mythology of ancient honorable warriors and ritualistic community dances. Their empathy and spiritualism frequently lead them to environmental and philanthropic activism, though this is sometimes mistaken as naivety by the other species.
