Ily

First crush, 14, Patlana boy in school named Xihuitl (falling comet). Xihuitl was not high enough status and Ily's mother and others had Xihuitl removed. Young and innocent infatuation.

Pet

Mother was too sick to work while already living on Great Endeavor. It was a slow realization about her declining health. Pet pretended to read to his mother who eventually rebounded or was treated, Pet isn't sure.

Raj

Tell about a trip/vacation you went on. The Yazabai are not nomadic but they share cultural history with some nomadic groups. He went to visit extended family before he was known as Rajiv. He traveled with the nomads and got to see the Feathered River up close, seeing the raging cursed waters. He spent a Becoming with these extended 3rd and 4th cousins and friends, occasionally hunting and learning about plants and nature.

• Prompt initiative forcing Pet to change
• Aftermath: overwhelmed with burn victims and smoke inhalation - shows need for medical staff
• Pet given intern title and assigned to Room 3
