Melinkon
Melinkon is the city in the middle of the Sands. The sands themselves shift and move unnaturally, much like the city's politics.
Melinkon is a giant triangle shaped on the ground, of which are divided into 3 districts, each controlled by 3 different groups.
The Retrievers
The Retrievers believe that the Thua Hoota were legendary people of the past, and they use technology from said era. They want to sculpt Melinkon into a city similar to Thua Hoota back then, and seek to someday lift the desertification curse on Melinkon to restore it to its former glory.
The Sand Temple
These people believe in the desert's cruelty as well as benefits. They use the sand itself to sculpt and build structures, as well as research ways to use the desert to benefit the people. They believe the desert is a gift to them, and they use the magic in the sands.
Magna Regalia
The Magna Regalia are people from the olden times who seized initiative to prosper in their new environments. Accepting trades and alliances, the Magna Regalia group serve under the Royalty of Regalia, the bloodline of the brave warriors of the times when Melinkon was still developing.
Besides the the presented groups, Melinkon's Deserts are a precarious area filled with opportunists, oppurtunities, monsters, treasure hunters and more prevantly, bandits. Melinkon is also the place where Hemomancy, magic which focuses on drawing magic from a human's body came from, resulting in quite scary as well as volatile magic.
