Plane of Storms

A plane characterized by extreme winds, and floating islands drifting in a seemingly bottomless abyss, intermittently lit by flashes of lightning and deposits of luminous crystal.   Unlike the planes of fire and darkness, the ambient conditions are not absolute anathema to human life. As a result, some civilizations have used the non-euclidean nature of planar boundaries to use the plane of storms as a travel system (see Storm Gate). Very harsh, yet otherwise familiar conditions are greatly preferable to instant incineration or near-total sensory deprivation.   Storm mages utilize planar storm magic, mixing it with arcane principals.

The Seas

A significant portion of highly Storm-attuned space is within the sea- areas both above and below. Only inklings of the plane's true power tend to leak on land, and even then typically only on small islands or at extreme altitudes. The endlessly raging maelstorms are a big part of the reason why the seas are left so unexplored.

Contracts

Contracts, being a highly intellectual and Celestial field, vaguely invoke Storms on a metaphorical level simply by occurring. This doesn't really affect the magic much, other than making it easier to interact with Storms than the other planes with said magics.

Boons

Other than the standard planar invocation, Storms is a plane generally associated with knowledge and enlightenment. Synapses are electricity, after all.
