Rayta comes from a long line of tieflings that have fallen to the darkness in their hearts. The only saving grace for Rayta was her music. From the moment she took an instrument in her hands, she purged her mind of the darker intent of her family and took on a life of her own performing. While she has experienced varied prejudice due to her infernal heritage, she has learned to ignore the whispers around her and proves her virtues with her talent and hard work. She is always up for an adventure as her main goal is to find epic stories to tell in order to be the best bard of all time and have her music live far longer than her mortal body allows. Good-humored and silly, she enjoys making jokes, drinking mead, and charming those around her.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Rayta is of average height. She wears slightly baggy clothes. Beneath her free-flowing clothes, she has a flat chest and small hips and if not for her delicate facial features and beautiful hair, she might be mistaken for a young boy.

Body Features

She has rusty red skin that she keeps well moistured with oils and if you get close enough can smell their floral musk. She has delicate fingers that are calloused at the tips from long hours playing a variety of string instruments. Her nails are long and well-manicured, again, to aid in her playing. She has hooves for feet but wears boots that cover them in order to give a more "normal" appearance. She has dark brown horns that curve and arch backward from her forehead. She keeps her horns filed to give them a less threatening and devious appearance.

Facial Features

Rayta, despite having the perceived shape of a young body due to her flowy clothing, has very pretty and delicate facial features. Her orange eyes are very beautiful and has a cute nose that is paired with a jewel nose ring. She doesn't wear a lot of make up, but clearly does care about her appearance as her eyebrows are manicured and she wears a variety of earrings.

Personal history

Rayta was born of a human necromancer and a tiefling wizard, both of whom she no longer stays in contact with as they disowned her when she made her intention to become a bard and reject their evil magics. She has been traveling and honing her skills since leaving home at the young age of 14. Due to this, while she is only 25, she is very mature and has seen much. She has also become a master of her surroundings, easily able to blend into society, whether that be with paupers or princes (also she would prefer princes). Rayta lives a carefree life, moving from place to place as she chooses and when she catches wind of a good adventure to turn into a song. She never hesitates to perform and loves the spotlight. She doesn't much care about the politics of her fellow teiflings and is not motivated to try to change one's feelings about her race. Instead, she only cares about how people treat her, as she feels only she can speak for herself and no others.

Rayta does not have a sexual preference. She loves love and many people love to love her. She doesn't, however, have any interest in an emotional relationship and often leaves her partners heartbroken when she leaves unexpectantly.

Education

Rayta is mostly selftaught, having a natural talent for her playing and even if not proficient with a particular instrument, she can normally play and adapt her skills to new instruments with ease. She is formally trained in the College of Glamour. Most, upon first introduction, do not know that she is a true bard and instead thing she is just a performer.

Employment

Rayta makes the majority of her living from her performances, but she also has gathered a number of loyal patrons across the Forgotten Realms due to her immense talent and skills.

Rayta has performed for royalty and has been on numerous adventures in her life, but she truly believes her greatest adventure is yet to come.
