My theory is that that peson is not quite dead and that the guards are there to prevent them from rising up again :p Nice article :D I love how you've presented each members of the guards, and little details like the fact that they manifest a body by freezing clouds of ectoplasm :D
You pretty much hit the coffin nail right on the head...I mean why else could the unit be classified as a "containment" unit :D I'm also happy to hear that you like the 3+1 guards, which as the article's theme song gives away are based on the 3 Fates from Greek mythology (which is also the reason for their particular choice of weapons).
