Nieven

Nieven was a Atris Celestial Being summoned to oversee one of her encampments in North-West Goet, formerly known as simply the “Nieven Camp” (Atrin camps are typically named after whomever is sent to oversee them), in 400 TGE. He ran this camp for 15 years with very little incident, though it was notable how frequently his camp closed itself off to the rest of the world compared to other Atris camps in Goet. While many on the outside thought little of this, those that either frequented their camps or were former members of one were quick to point out its abnormality.   In 416 TGE, Nieven was involved in an altercation between himself and another member of his commune, who confronted him about his increasingly shut-in and dictatorial ways (with the support of several other members of the camp who were tired of the treatment). The mortal member of the camp involved in the dispute was seriously injured during the fight, and in response Atris promptly disgraced him.   Immediately following his disgrace, Nieven seemingly disappeared somewhere in Goet. His last known contact with someone outside the camp during that time was a disgraced Nslir Celestial Being, who helped him heal from the physical trauma of being disgraced. When Nieven gained notoriety for leading a particularly brutal Quiharis camp, she came forward with her account of her time with him. Notably, she made mention of his relentless anger towards his former Lord and emphasized that his transition into cult leader “did not really come as a surprise”.   Nieven was first reported to be leading a Quiharis camp in 419 TGE around north-west Goet. While most of his actions with his new camp were run-of-the-mill raids and targeted attacks on Demon Hunters, they were also responsible for slaughtering his former Atrin encampment in 431 TGE. Many of the former members that were around at the time of his disgrace were now either dead or left at some point in time, but that did not seem to dissuade him from enacting his revenge on any members currently living there. With The Equalizing Outbreak starting to form at the same time, the nearby cities were too preoccupied trying to contain the disease to lend any aid.   Throughout The Equalizing Outbreak, Nieven’s camp gained notoriety for their pension to primarily target Atrin Camps. Said camps normally had little in the way of protection against a threat of that caliber, and as such ended up having their encampments pillaged and plundered whenever Nieven’s group targeted them. He continued this pattern all throughout the outbreak, managing to also take out 2 Goetion Demon Hunter Leaders and several units. It wasn’t until the outbreak started dying down in 438 TGE that Goetion demon hunters were able to take a more aggressive approach to Nieven’s camps. While they were not able to eliminate Nieven, they were successful in wiping out over half of his camp and drove him out of Goet.   Nieven largely dropped off the map until 440 TGE, notably with extensive scaring and mutilation on his face. It was later revealed that he spent the previous two years imprisoned in another Quiharis & Xuaion camp in Ciel, presumably because he displeased Quiharis and was sent there as punishment. By the time he reemerged, he was once again leading several different camps spanning from Brimfire to Aclon. He eventually settled in northern Aclon in 460 TGE, where he continued to grow a sizable and ruthless Xuaion & Quiharis camp. They have continued to operate under Nieven’s leadership since then, and in particular target Aclon’s demon hunter force. As of 468 TGE, standing orders for Aclon’s demon hunters are to not engage Nieven under any circumstances, as he alone has wiped out entire units that have tried to attack his camp.
