Nslir (N-s-lir)

Goddess of Arts & Literature

Nslir is one of the 8 major gods of Centaria. During The Founding Era, she worked closely with mortals in creating unique cultures, festivals, rituals, and traditions. Her presence on Centaria was constant, traveling all over the world all throughout the era. Over the years she developed a particular fondness for those living in the Greatimas territories, in what is now known as the country Aclon. Because of this, it is widely accepted that Aclon is the only country that has had the same patron for its entire existence.   She is primarily followed by bards and other artisans, as well as those who strive for harmony in their own lives. Nslir is commonly seen as the most peaceful deity, with her most devout followers living in tranquil remote monasteries. Those that choose to live in one of these monasteries tend to be fairly and surprisingly diverse in their skillset. While Nslir's doctrine would naturally draw in artistically inclined people, plenty of those wishing to hone their combative talents in a serene environment (as opposed to Tedites more strict facilities) live in her monasteries. Because so much of the churches' resources are funneled into maintaining the monasteries, individual temples are few and far between (outside of Aclon, where there is a church in every city). Services at her temples tend to be spectacles, with elaborate music and dance numbers, that draw crowds from all over the world. Services typically occur once every month. Her followers are expected to be kind to those around them, though other than this they are not held to any specific code.   Her symbol is a moth.

Celestial Beings

The number of celestial beings Nslir creates has gone down slightly in recent (about 700 centuries or so) years, as they used to be abundant in theater and general artistic circles. As mortals developed their own artistic way and culture, her beings started showing up less and less. Now they mainly remain in the background of the artistic community, a small but overwhelmingly significant presence. Their opinions on various artistic works are considered absolute by most. While this may sound like they hold themselves in high regard, most of the time that is not the case. Nslir's celestial beings tend to be unwaveringly free-spirited, using their time on the mortal plane to explore and experience as much as they can. In the past they were open about their true identities, but in recent years many have begun to try and hide their celestial nature so they can explore without distraction.   Nslir's celestial beings naturally have iridescent pastel pink hair.
