Centaria's geopolitical ideologies can vary from country to country, but most have kept to a clearly defined set of parties.
Prominent Ideologies
Contemporary - Beliefs based on embracing modern advancements and appreciating the harmony between gods and mortals. They typically put much of their trust in political leaders and high priests and are quick to follow their guidance. While they do wish to continue to evolve as a society, they are in no rush to do so and relish in the peace and normality of modern times. Major, sweeping changes are off-putting to them and they prefer to slowly test the waters when it comes to change. Many older elves hold this viewpoint, as their parents were directly impacted by the 50 Years' War and they are scared of having their children go through the same ordeal. Cadax, Duerett, Maider, Shinia, and Zormina are considered predominantly contemporary nations.
Conventional - Beliefs based on following traditional political and/or social policies. Those that hold a conventional political viewpoint typically wish to put more rule in the hands of the gods and hold themselves and other mortals in lower regard. Many wish to harken back to the days when the gods had a heavier presence on Centaria and are slow to accept new technological advancements until supported by the gods. Dorimont, Kemos, Galetthia, Goet, and White Shore are considered predominantly Conventional nations.
Conceptual - Beliefs based on actively evolving society and experimenting with new social innovations. Those that hold this ideology normally place more importance on mortal accomplishments than divine intervention, though they still respect the gods. They relish in the excitement of change and are more open to new ways of doing things (even if they themselves do not 100% agree with it). Aclon, Armoriya, and Faraday are all considered predominantly conceptual nations.
Minor Ideologies
Mortalism - Beliefs based on placing more importance on mortal accomplishments and separating themselves from the gods. Those that hold this ideology reject the normal practice of respecting the following the gods. Some who believe deeply in moratalism even see mortals as greater than the gods and wish the gods had less presence in mortal affairs. Brimfire is considered a predominantly mortalist nation.
