Qualifications

To be a Hawkshaw is not difficult, A current member of the organization has to vouch on your behalf to be able to take a specialized entry exam. The exam while containing some general proficiency tasks will also have a portion where you can show off a specialized capability. After the exam if at least half the proctors vouch for you, they will allow you entry.

Career Progression

Being a Hawkshaw is basically contract work under the umbrella of an organization. As your skills and reputation becomes more desirable you will be able to charge more as part of a contract. It is possible to gain more responsibility in the organization itself, gaining more management type position, reviewing incoming contracts, assigning them to Hawkshaw's, assuring there is follow through. That is the most you could progress too though.

Payment & Reimbursement

A Hawkshaw is paid by contract. Usually someone will search out ta Hawkshaw with a job that needs to get done. These two parties will then negotiate a contract for either a base amount of money, goods, or item. For more long-term contracts, it will usually involve compensation per day. The hiring party will turn over the money to the organization, then upon completion of the task the Hawkshaw will be able to "redeem" the money, with a small fee from the organization of course.

Other Benefits

The life of a Hawkshaw can be a dangerous one. The benefits of being part of the "Myth Buster" Organization is room and board in a barrack if needed. The organization will also lend/send support if a Hawkshaw needs extra help of a different specialty. The biggest benefit is the "Life Ensurance" policy. The Coalition for Hearsay Authentication at all times keeps one druid on staff capable of casting reincarnate. As well as a stock of their Hawkshaw's hair for the spell. In the event they die on duty they will be reincarnated.
