Allerry Divaricata

Allerry Divaricata bush also known as the Saku tree is a tall bush like plant that is found along the streams, rives and in the high elevation of the Allerry peaks. There is a central thick stalk with several branching stalks that end in leaves. The stalks are a vibrant green and the leaves are large flat and a dark green color and waxy feel. It blooms in late summer with bright silver to blue small flowers. It produces fruit that surrounds a nut. The fruit that it produces is mildly toxic but the nut is good to eat. All attempts to cultivate the plant have failed but it grows plentiful on the banks of the Saku river and many of the streams in the Allerry mountains. Thus why it is also known as the Saku tree, even though it is not a tree. The Allerry Divaricata is used by the native shifters in the area for many different things. The leaves are used as outer roofing for their homes because of its natural water repelling properties. It is also acts as an insect repellent. The stalks of the plant are cut and crushed to create a paste that is used as a glue. They mix it with the clay in the area creating a strong mortar to help build the more important buildings. Such as temples, and meeting halls. They also export the pure paste as a natural glue. It is very strong and highly sought after by different artist, and builders. The flowers are used as a dye and the fruit is harvested, mixed with several other herbs and fermented into a drink that is also exported to the elves as the drink will kill a shifter or half. Lastly the nut of the plant high in protein and minerals and is kept and used through the winter months to add more to their food during the harsh cold winter months.
