Moth Silk

In the elfin city of Myolian located centrally on Efen it rests partially in Aeqular and Zakido kingdoms. Both kingdoms have given the city freedom to govern themselves. This elven city is important to the Aeqular and Zakido and Slirene kingdoms as this is where all of the moth silk on Efren comes from. On the outskirts of the city there are many farms for fire moths, lightening moths, and silk moths. The whole city has built up around these moths. It started with a few farmers who farmed the lighting, fire and silk moths. These farmers brought in workers to gather the silk. Several food places arrived to feed all the farmhands. Then several shops that spin the gathered silk into useable silk thread arrived. Then lighting seamstresses arrived first then a several more arrived that specializes in fire and regular silk. Then there was found a good source of material for the specialized tools and the craftsmen that create tools for the collectors, spinners, and seamstresses came. Many other industries, such as those that dye the silk, cooks and such have come to help support the moth trade. In recent years because of the banning of lightning seamstresses on Nucrana the trade in Myolian has skyrocket in demand. Both the demand of lighting Silk and the demand of lighting seamstresses to make lighting silk clothing.

Material Characteristics

Silk from the silk moths are usually found in their nests, egg sacks, mating, chrysalis.   To tell that it is a silk moth have a shimmer to it.  The lighting silk almost glows and give off small flashes.  The fire has a slight red hue to it.  The normal silk moth is just shimmers.

Very strong, light and has magical properties.

Geology & Geography

found in central Efren, forested parts of Nucrana and a few places on Owhua.  Not found on Lafliuton.

Taste

depends on type but mostly there is no taste only sensation, either fire, lightening nothing.

White, cream and tan.
