The Bayonet Carrier

The Bayonet Carrier purpose is to carry large groups of troops or soldiers into battle. There are a few groups that use it to move their special forces in and out quickly and quietly. The Bayonet Carrier is used only on the Lafliuton continent.
The Bayonet Carriers are patterned after the Saebinships. The Bayonet Carriers however are much bigger, not built for comfort or extreme distances. It has no cargo hold, no sail and completely powered by magic. The sides of the Bayonet Carrier are short and drop making ramps to let troops off. The pilot is situated up next to the front panel. The front and back do not drop.
The Bayonet Carriers are only used in deserts, plains, grass lands etc. They are not used in mountain areas, forests or jungles. The main reason for that is because of the size of the Bayonet Carriers. They don’t maneuver well or make adjustments quickly. Because of this some have come to call them floating logs. With their lack of maneuverability many Bayonet Carriers fell prey to anti magic bombs. To help counter that next to the pilot there is usually a person called Bomb Deflector or BD for short. This persons job is to watch for the bombs and use magic or in some cases reinforced staffs to knock the bombs away or back to where they came from.
The Bayonet Carriers predate the aetheric generator which is now used to power the carriers. Before the aetheric generator they just used a floating spell combined with a easily found mineral on Lafliuton called flying hematite, which helps things float and is a great magic extender.
Each kingdom on Laflution used the Bayonet Carriers during the Lafliuton civil war. There are many tales of the kingdom of Tavell using the Bayonet Carriers to bring in their top notch special troops deep into the Priria kingdom. While the Edgestarlins used the Bayonet Carriers as a block so their troops could get into a more strategic position on the battle fields. The Prira kingdom tended to use the Bayonet Carriers as battering rams. Flying them into the other troops or other Bayonet carriers.
