Apophis
The Devouring Wyrm
Summary
The titan created by Arcadia, which eventually began to take on the guise of multiple others in its quest to devour everything 'impure'.
First taken on by Izsah Lovett, who failed to contain the entity. In her emotionally unstable state, it consumed her and took on her identity, giving it power enough to manifest. After the fall of Bahamut, which was orchestrated by Apophis, its essence was tethered to the soul of Amaryllis Vanguard, who ensured that Apophis was forced into a mortal form and incapable of true ascension.
Currently, the job of reigning in Apophis has been passed down to Erza Scarlet, whose immortal soul born of Apophis itself is keeping it caged. Due to it being unable to consume itself, both Apophis and Erza are forever ensnared in a never-ending loop of consumption and creation. It is unclear if either entity remains as both beings seems to have melded.
Regardless, the entity and its cage are currently banished from the Prime Plane for the foreseeable future thanks to Cornelius Alive Faux's creation of the vacuum in space; the veil set around the plane by Amaryllis Vanguard; and the remnants of the Primortals, who have been charged with protecting it.
