Personal history

Anastasia was born into a wealthy wizarding family who was known for their practice of Evocation magic. Anastasia lived with the family for a few years until they realized that evocation magic didn't come to her naturally. She was sent to a separate facility where Vanguard children who can't naturally cast Evocation magic are sent to be tested and tortured until they eventually die or learn Evocation magic. Anastasia spent several years in this facility, where she secretly taught herself divine cleric magic, which came naturally to her. She used this magic to escape the facility. Anastasia changed her name to River Phoenixspark so as to stay hidden from her family who was out hunting for her.
She eventually found herself safe on a cluster of islands, where she was taught druid magic by the Garda Nadur. She quickly became a key member in the group, moving rapidly in the ranks and becoming one of Camilla Fox's most trusted members.
