Year 1327 Post Desolation

Ceres is a continent devastated 1327 years ago by an event called "The Desolation". The Desolation wiped out over 90% of the humanoid population and left devastation and destruction in its wake. While the actual nature of the event and the cause are unknown, it's effects linger to this day for the peoples of Ceres. The oceans have become toxic and dangerous, while monstrous creatures and wild storms make exploration beyond the shallows impossible. The continent has slowly rebuilt, with small groups of survivors growing into kingdoms and empires. The continent is covered in anomalies and oddities left behind by the desolation, and as the land is consumed by war, adventure and profit exist for those willing to seize it.
