Retriever

A retriever are a living construct that resemble giant spiders that were created by foul sorcery to operate as warriors and servants for powerful demon nobles of the Abyss. They specialized in tracking objects and individuals that their masters desired, hence their name.
Although each retriever is a metal-and-magic construct, it houses the imprisoned spirit of a bebilith. Most of the demon’s intellect has been distilled away, leaving only its cruelty and cunning.

Anatomy

This metallic creature has eight legs, with four of them being forelegs that end in large cleaver-like blades and the back four seem to be used for walking and taking most of it's weight.

This is a creation that is unable to replicate itself in any fashion.

The Abyss it's its primary plane, but is known to travel between planes in search of it's quarry.

Social Structure

Retrievers were especially valuable to the lords of the Abyss, as their dedication and determination were something hard to come by. Other tanar'ri very rarely tried to interfere in a retriever's work as doing so often incurred the wrath of a demon lord.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The retriever is a potent, spider-like construct conceived and built by the drow for one original purpose — to prowl the Abyss and capture demons for the drow to enslave or use in their rituals. The automatons proved so effective and so fearsome that they now perform many different missions.

They had two primary eyes and four smaller eyes that gleamed malevolently as they peaked out from their carapace

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

This creature has blindsight and darkvision. 
Two of their eyes create a beam. One of the beams has a paralyzing affect and the other does force damage to those who can't dodge out of the way. They are resistant or immune to many types of damage.
