Gods of Chaha Ris
The Gatim and Cheldrim worship the same gods, though often in different ways. These gods established the land and gave it life sustaining qualities in which the people could dwell and thrive - though not too easily for the gods do not respect those who are weak.
The gods are worshipped in different ways by the folk who revere them.
The Gatim see the gods as inhuman and callous, actively scornful of humankind and dealing with them only grudgingly and when approached by sanctified priests and priestesses with all due reverence and ritual. They see the gods as dangerous and capricious and emphasise their majesty.
The Cheldrim are still reverent toward their gods and know that the gods respect strength and self reliance, but they do not see the gods as quite so remote and inimical to humanity. They accept the sincere prayers of the failthful and they are more intimately concerned with the lives of their worshippers.
