Chain

Created by

The Archipelagic world of chain is in the outer reaches of our solar system. It has 2 moons, resulting in two separate tides and the days at avg. 32 hours. The entirety of the planet is twice as big as earth (or more) and consists of an unspecified number of widely varying cultures and peoples, developments and magic.   Chain and Earth (the planet of war and ignorance) were created billions of years prior from the dust of an asteroid colliding into a utopian planet.   After a millennia of hundreds of demons seeking a binding way to link the now re-populated debris of the utopia to create one single self sustaining planet using inter-physical superglue, they realised that they would have to create two worlds and send demons to each planet to make them stop diverging from the utopia they once were.   The demons are now celebrated as kind gods on both worlds, and every decade they send more minor demons down to the physical realm to enforce peace( at least on Chain. without them, there would be chaos).   On Earth, though, the demons chosen are less peace driven and more curious, testing their power every few years with another sometimes cruel challenge, with the absence of magic.   Earth is almost identical to our planet, with the exception of some urban-fantasy style alterations and additions, which include: Vampires, werewolves, some deep sea aquatic creatures, kelpies, selkies, unicorns, shapeshifters, witches, warlocks, etc, and of course, the demons.   A lasting piece of evidence of the split is a Mariana Trench crack that goes from the north sea bed Eastwards, which is visible from space.   Chain dwellers very rarely interact with others, with the exception of the Tome Wanderers, or TWA who gather books and knowledge for their place of origin. These people have vast skill sets, most having photographic memories and above average fighting skill. TWA travellers are well known throughout the world and are usually left to be for fear of interrupting.
