Chrono Echo is a transmutation spell that bends the strands of time to create a temporal duplicate of the caster. This spell is not merely a replication of form; it is a complex manipulation of temporal energies, allowing the caster to revisit and alter the immediate past with a fleeting second chance or augmentation of their actions.


As the caster activates the spell, the sundial fragment and hourglass sand swirl around them in a dance of shadows and light. Time seems to ripple and fold, creating a brief overlap in the continuum. A duplicate of the caster, translucent and shimmering, emerges from their form, ready to replicate the previous action.


Temporal Duplicate: The Chrono Echo allows the caster to redo or augment an action they took in their previous turn. The duplicate perfectly mimics the caster's previous action, whether it was a spell, an attack, or a movement, providing a second opportunity to affect the outcome of a critical moment.


Mechanic: After casting Chrono Echo, the caster chooses an action from their previous turn. The temporal duplicate then performs this action exactly as the caster did, including any rolls required. For instance, if the caster missed an attack or failed a saving throw, they can use the duplicate to attempt the action again, potentially altering the course of events.


Echo's Limitation: The power of the Chrono Echo is fleeting and singular. Once the duplicate performs the replicated action, it dissipates back into the temporal flow, its purpose served. The spell cannot recreate actions that significantly altered the state of the caster or the environment, such as consuming a potion or causing a massive explosion.


At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the caster gains a bonus to the roll made by the temporal duplicate. This bonus is equal to +1 for each slot level above 3rd.
