Chronoshard Fragmentation

Chronoshard Fragmentation
5th-level transmutation
Casting Time: 1 reaction
Range: Self
Components: V, S, M (a fragment of a sundial and a drop of the caster's blood)
Duration: Instantaneous
With a gesture transcending the linear flow of time, this spell fractures the very essence of moments, allowing you to manipulate the immediate past to alter the present. Upon casting, you create a temporal rift that envelops your being, momentarily stepping outside the current timeline.
You can immediately take an additional turn as a part of the reaction used for this spell's casting, effectively inserting your turn into the current initiative order. This turn occurs immediately, and during this turn, you cannot move in a way or take any actions that affect other creatures or objects during the extra turn; instead the effects of your actions or movements occur when this spell ends. You can, however, use this turn to position yourself, use an item, cast a self-targeting spell, or prepare for impending events. Any attacks you make will appear to have no impact, arrows and other projectiles freezing in place where they first touch something else frozen in time whether a creature or object.
After this additional turn, time reasserts itself, potentially causing paradoxical strain. Make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, you suffer one level of exhaustion due to the temporal dissonance. This exhaustion cannot be removed by any means other than a long rest, as your body and mind realign with the natural flow of time.
Due to the complex nature of this spell, once you cast "Chronoshard Fragmentation," you cannot cast it again until you finish a long rest without automatically failing the Constitution saving throw from paradoxical strain.
  Classes: Wizard, Sorcerer
Subclasses: Chronurgy Wizard, Wild Magic Sorcerer
Source: Original Creation
Note: This spell is particularly potent in altering the course of battles or crucial encounters, allowing the caster to rethink strategies or avoid imminent dangers. The use of this spell should be carefully considered, as its repercussions on the fabric of time and the caster's own well-being can be significant.
