Chronowraith's Edict is a formidable spell that manipulates the flow of time within a localized area, bending it to the caster's will. Upon casting, the caster chooses a point within range, creating a 30-foot radius sphere centered on that point. Time within this sphere is subject to the caster's control.
Each creature within the sphere (excluding the caster) must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is affected by temporal distortion. The caster can choose to either accelerate or decelerate the flow of time for each affected creature individually.
Accelerated time causes a creature to age rapidly, suffering a level of exhaustion each round as their body withers. Decelerated time slows a creature's movements and reactions, giving them disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws, and reducing their speed to 10 feet.
The caster can alter the flow of time for a single creature as a bonus action on their turn, switching between acceleration and deceleration or targeting a new creature within the sphere.
A unique feature of this spell is the “Temporal Anomaly.” Once during the spell’s duration, the caster can create a localized time loop. For one round, all actions, movements, and events within the sphere repeat themselves exactly as they occurred for all but the caster and anyone they choose within range. This loop allows the caster to analyze and predict enemy actions or create a momentary tactical advantage on all checks targeting anyone in the loop for one round. However, the anomaly is mentally taxing, and using it ends the spell immediately after the loop ends.
