Dreamweaver's Ruse

Dreamweaver's Ruse
8th-level illusion
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 1200 feet
Components: V, S, M (a fragment of a dreamcatcher used in a Fey ritual and a feather from a displacer beast, both of which the spell consumes)
Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes
Dreamweaver's Ruse is a powerful illusion spell that weaves a tapestry of false realities, ensnaring the minds of those within its grasp. Upon casting, the caster designates an area within range, creating a 400-foot cube of illusory terrain and scenarios, indistinguishable from reality.
Each creature in the area, or that enters the area during the duration, must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, the creature believes the illusion to be reality, perceiving and interacting with the conjured scenarios as if they were true. The caster has complete control over the narrative and environment within the illusion, able to fabricate landscapes, creatures, and events.
The illusion is so complete that it can simulate sensory experiences and even inflict illusory damage. A creature that takes damage from the illusion believes it has suffered real harm, though the damage is psychic and not physical it doesn't leave wounds but it can leave psychic scars if you die inside the illusion from psychic damage and survive the death save to wake up after the spell ends and you have 1 or more HP. The spell can also create illusory safe havens or traps, leading creatures to act in ways they otherwise wouldn't.
The caster can alter the illusion as a bonus action on their turn, adapting the scenario to react to the creatures' actions. This adaptability makes the spell exceptionally potent in manipulating foes or altering the course of events.
A unique aspect of Dreamweaver's Ruse is the “Fey Mirage” - once during the spell's duration, the caster can invoke a grand illusion that encapsulates all creatures within the area. This mirage is a grand narrative twist or revelation, reshaping the perceived reality so profoundly that it can change the course of battles, negotiations, or entire story arcs.
  Classes: Bard, Wizard
