Gravitas Pulse is a transmutation spell that manipulates the fundamental force of gravity within a localized area, emanating from the caster as the epicenter. This spell is more than a simple manipulation of weight and mass; it is a profound assertion of control over a force that governs the very nature of existence, bending it to the caster's will in a display of arcane mastery.


Upon casting, the lodestone and feather in the caster's hands become the focal point of a powerful gravitational field. The caster unleashes a wave of energy that ripples outward, distorting the pull of gravity in its wake. The air shimmers as if under a great weight, and the ground trembles with the spell's force.


Altered Gravitas: The spell creates a 30-foot-radius sphere around the caster where gravity is either intensified or diminished, according to the caster's desire. This manipulation of gravity affects creatures and objects within the area, either anchoring them more firmly to the ground or making them lighter and more buoyant.


Mechanic: The caster chooses to either increase or decrease gravity when casting the spell. Increased gravity imposes disadvantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws and halves the jump height and movement speed of creatures in the area. Decreased gravity allows for higher jumps, reduces fall damage by half, and adds 10 feet to movement speed due to the lighter environment.


Tactical Applications: Gravitas Pulse can be used to hinder enemy advances, secure a retreat, or create advantageous high ground. The sudden shift in gravity can disorient foes, making them easier targets or disrupting their formations.


At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the radius of the gravitational effect increases by 10 feet, and the duration extends by 1 round for each slot level above 3rd.
