This spell invokes the unknowable depths of the abyss to reveal secrets and knowledge beyond the comprehension of mortal minds. Upon casting, the caster gazes into the void, contacting ancient entities and cosmic forces that dwell in the darkest corners of existence.

The caster poses a single question, pertaining to any knowledge or secret. The spell then connects the caster's mind to the abyssal consciousness, allowing them to comprehend answers that are otherwise beyond mortal reach. The knowledge gained can be about past events, distant locations, other planes of existence, or even esoteric lore that has been long forgotten by the world.

However, delving into such profound depths comes with inherent risks. The caster must make an Intelligence saving throw upon receiving the answer. On a failed save, the overwhelming nature of the abyssal knowledge inflicts psychic damage on the caster and can potentially render them insane for a temporary period. This insanity manifests in hallucinations, paranoia, and other psychological effects, reflecting the mind-shattering impact of the abyss.

On a successful save, the caster assimilates the knowledge without suffering adverse effects, though they might be left with a lingering sense of unease or a cryptic warning from the entities of the abyss.

Additionally, once per year, the caster can use this spell to attempt a "Cosmic Communion."
