The Nesting Shield spell’s effects stack with any other Shield spell’s effects. The maximum number of active Nesting Shields you are capable of casting that a target may benefit from is limited to ½ your (Proficiency Bonus + Spellcasting Ability Bonus) rounded up. Each layer of a Nesting Shield resists force damage, reducing the force damage in half rounded down at each layer to a minimum of 0 force damage. If cast multiple times on a target, the Nesting Shield Spells are automagically self-arranged in layers in order of longest duration being innermost and shortest duration being exterior. Nesting Shield Spells cast on a target with any other Shield Spell will always be inside of the other Shield Spell.
