Reverie of the Darkened Mind

Reverie of the Darkened Mind
6th-level enchantment, psionic
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S, M (a black opal worth at least 500 gp)
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You attempt to alter the consciousness of up to three creatures you can see within range, drawing their minds into dark and turbulent states. Each target must make an Intelligence saving throw.
On a failed save, the target becomes frightened as shadowy landscapes and monstrous visions plague their thoughts. On their turns, they can take either an action or a bonus action, not both, and they cannot take reactions. The creature also has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while frightened in this way.
On a successful save, the target experiences a moment of unease as the spell scrapes at the edges of their psyche, granting you advantage on your next attack roll against it before the end of your next turn.
Mindrifling: As an action while concentrating on this spell, you can plunge one affected target deeper into the dark reveries. The target must make another Intelligence saving throw. On a failure, it is also stunned until the end of its next turn as nightmarish apparitions paralyze it with fear. Using this ability triggers the Soul Gaze feature of this spell.
Soul Gaze: Spells with Soul Gaze allow the caster to briefly glimpse into the target's soul, revealing hidden fears, desires, or secrets. Make a spellcasting ability check to determine how successful you are versus the targets Intelligence saving throw result.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 7th-level spell slot or higher, you can target 1d4 additional creatures for each slot level above 6th.
  Classes: Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard
