Shadow Weaver's Cloak is an illusion spell that enwraps the caster in a living shroud made of shadows, enhancing their stealth and masking their presence in a veil of darkness. This spell is not just a simple concealment; it is an intricate interplay of light and shadow, woven by the subtle art of illusion to create a protective mantle that is as enigmatic as it is elusive.


Upon casting, the strand of spider silk and piece of obsidian merge and swirl around the caster, drawing shadows from the surroundings to form a cloak. This cloak of shadows clings to the caster, moving with a fluid, almost sentient grace. It blends seamlessly with any darkness, making the caster's form indistinct and ghostly.


Enhanced Stealth: The cloak of shadows grants the caster a near-invisibility in low light or darkness, merging their form with the shadows around them. This grants the caster advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and makes them extremely difficult to detect visually in dim conditions.


Mechanic: While shrouded in the Shadow Weaver's Cloak, the caster can move without making a sound, their footsteps and movements muffled by the encompassing darkness. Additionally, in conditions of dim light or darkness, attack rolls against the caster have disadvantage, as their form becomes a mere wisp of shadow.


Ephemeral Defense: The cloak can momentarily solidify to deflect an attack or hazard. Once per duration, the caster can use their reaction to impose disadvantage on an attack roll made against them, as the shadows swirl to intercept the blow or projectile.


At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the duration of the cloak extends by 30 minutes, and the number of times the caster can use the cloak's defensive reaction increases by one for each slot level above 3rd.
