Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S, M (a fragment of a tombstone and the essence of a forgotten memory trapped in a quartz worth at least 25 gp each of which is consumed by the spellcasting) Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
Through this dark incantation, you call forth spectral hands from the realm of forgotten souls. These hands reach out to a point you can see within range, grasping at the living and the material.
  Spell Effects:
  Grasping Shadows: Up to three targets within range are grasped by spectral hands. Each target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or become restrained.
Memory Drain: Restrained targets experience flashes of forgotten memories, causing psychic damage. They must succeed a Charisma saving throw for half damage and no memory loss or take 2d8 psychic damage at the start of each of their turns and lose a memory. As long as you are carrying quartz worth at least 25 gp, each target each turn that takes damage fills a quartz with the essence of a forgotten memory. A memory lost this way cannot be recovered without the quartz carrying the memory. If the caster had no quartz without memories stored within them, the memories drained are lost to the realm of forgotten souls and can only be regained by going there and finding them and using a spell like Greater Restoration or Wish with the recovered memory essence.
Ethereal Pull: As an action on your subsequent turns, you can attempt to pull one restrained target 10 feet closer to you through ethereal space.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the spell's Memory Drain ability deals an additional 2d8 psychic damage, the spells Ethereal pull ability lets you pull a restrained target an additional 10 feet closer to you, and you can target one additional creature with the spell and the Ethereal Pull ability for each slot level above 4th.
  This spell not only restrains and damages foes with the despair of the forgotten, but it also allows the caster to manipulate their position on the battlefield, echoing the eerie and manipulative nature of the forgotten realms.
