Starshard Cascade
Starshard Cascade
6th-level evocation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 150 feet
Components: V, S, M (a shard of meteorite)
Duration: Instantaneous
Unleashing the fury of the cosmos, this spell calls down a cascade of radiant starshards from the sky. Choose a point you can see within range. Each creature within a 20-foot radius sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw.
On a failed save: A creature takes 6d10 radiant damage, as it's struck by the shimmering starshards.
On a successful save: A creature takes half damage.
The area where the starshards strike becomes difficult terrain until the end of your next turn, representing the residual cosmic energy and debris.
Lingering Radiance: Any creature that starts its turn in the affected area before your next turn takes 1d10 radiant damage due to the lingering cosmic energy.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the initial damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 6th.
