In the realm of illusion and reality's edge, the "Veilshatter Phantasm" reveals the thin veil between truth and deception. This spell creates a complex, multi-layered illusion within a 30-foot cube that you can see within range.

Upon casting, you weave a tapestry of illusions that overlay the existing reality. These illusions are so intricate and layered that they can depict scenes, environments, creatures, and even simulate weather conditions. The illusion is fully interactive, reacting to stimuli and creating an immersive experience.

Creatures of your choosing within the area or those who enter it must make an Intelligence (Investigation) saving throw at disadvantage. On a failed save, they fully believe in the illusion, interacting with it as though it were real. The illusion can be as detailed as a bustling city street, a serene forest glade, or even a dragon's lair.

For a creature that discerns the illusion, the spell has an additional layer. The creature sees through the initial illusion but is then subjected to a secondary, more subtle illusion. This secondary illusion is a faint overlay, creating a sense of unease and mistrust, where even the real world seems slightly off.

As an action, you can alter the illusion, changing its nature, appearance, and layout. This flexibility allows you to adapt the illusion to changing circumstances, making it an excellent tool for deception, distraction, or creating advantageous terrain in combat.

Additionally, you can focus the spell to target a single creature. The targeted creature becomes engulfed in a personal illusion, tailored to their fears, desires, or memories. This targeted illusion can be a powerful tool for interrogation, intimidation, or manipulation.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the duration increases to 10 minutes with a 6th level spell slot, an hour with a 7th level spell slot, 8 hours with an 8th level spell slot, and 24 hours with a 9th level spell slot. Additionally the range of the spell's effect increases by +30 feet as does the size of the cube created increases by +10 feet for each slot level above 5th.
