Voidlance is a spell that tears a rift in the fabric of space, summoning a piercing lance of void energy. You create and hurl a lance of pure darkness at a creature or point you can see within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 10d8 necrotic damage, and the void energy lingers, causing additional effects:
Void Mark: The target is marked by the void. Its location becomes visible to you even if it is hidden or invisible, and it cannot benefit from cover against your attacks. This effect lasts until the end of your next turn.
Gravity Distortion: The impact of the lance distorts gravity in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on the point of impact for 1 minute. The area becomes difficult terrain, and creatures starting their turn in the area must succeed on a Strength saving throw or have their speed reduced to 0 until the start of their next turn.
Astral Rupture: If the target is reduced to 0 hit points by this spell, a small rift to the Astral Plane is opened for 1 round. Creatures within 10 feet of the dead target at the end of your turn are pulled 5 feet toward the rift. Anyone pulled within 5 feet of the rift is sucked through to the Astral Plane, to a random location, including the dead body of the slain target.
After casting Voidlance, the strain of handling such potent void energy leaves you vulnerable. You have disadvantage on saving throws until the start of your next turn, as the echoes of the void momentarily weaken your defenses.
