This spell connects your mind to the arcane whispers of the Eldritch Court, a mysterious congregation from beyond the stars. Upon casting, your senses are inundated with fleeting glimpses of hidden truths and forbidden knowledge.

For the duration, you gain the ability to understand and speak any language. Additionally, once during the spell’s duration, you can attempt an Intelligence (Arcana) check with advantage on any topic related to the arcane, the cosmos, or otherworldly entities. On a successful check, you glean insights as if you had researched the topic extensively.

However, these whispers are taxing on the mind. Each time you use this feature, you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15). On a failed save, you are overwhelmed by the alien knowledge, becoming incapacitated with haunting visions for 1 minute. While incapacitated in this manner, you can't move, speak, or take actions, as your mind roams the corridors of the Eldritch Court. Any night after failing the save leaves you unable to get a full long rest for 24 hours as your mind is inundated with whispered secrets from beyond the stars too great for your mind to hold onto yet too heavy to cast away easily.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the duration increases by 10 minutes for each slot level above 2nd, and the Wisdom saving throw DC reduces by 1 for each slot level above 2nd.
