This woman is unusually young for running her own business. But she has had a rather rough life the last few years, despite her young age. Her mother died from a stray arrow during one of the riots a few years ago, needless to say she is rather adverse towards the Northern Empire's control of Martelain. With Rila finally being old enough to run the shop on her own for a couple of moons, her father set out on a trading voyage about three years ago, to the Balntogh Jungles far to the south-east, where some of the worlds most beautiful rugs are often woven. But he never returned... She heard about 6 months later that the ship that he was on was lost to pirates at sea a little over a week into the voyage, with rumors that there were no survivors and that the ship is now part of one of the pirate fleets that ply the seas reeking havock on trading vessels. While this devastated her and hurt the family business due to the loss of the large amount of coinage that he took with him, she has managed to keep the business going after his death.
