This small and very old warehouse was built from fieldstone held together using mortar, however over the years, the walls have been patched using a wide variety of materials including cut stone and wood. The roof is made with timber framing with wood shingles (thin wood shakes of split cedar overlapping one another) over wood planks with a 6:12 pitch (~22° slope). The building has two levels, with a high ceiling on the first floor (12’ or 4 meters), with an eve height of about 20 feet (6 ½ meters).
Rondo Shifkin is one of the few descendants of Martelain’s old wealthy class (from before the Northern Empire invasion and takeover) that has remained within the city. He has managed to keep the old family business going, however not with the same degree of success that his ancestors did due to the current economic state of the city. He handles a wide variety of products including foodstuff, cloth and clothing, household items, and tools. He often times caters to the needs of the Northerners who reside within the city; however, it is not widely known that he also deals in items that are an integral part of the disrepair. However, it is still in better shape than many of the buildings within the city. It has two levels.
