K4-11 Shőlgur Laundry and Stitching

Written by Adsmalley

This large building appears to have at one time been a bath-house that shut down about four decades ago when the Northern Empire took over Martelain. It is of stone construction with a high ceiling supported by fancily sculpted arches that are now in a minor state of disrepair. While the roof if about the height of a typical two-story building, only the back third of the building actually has an upper floor (as well as a balcony that overlooks the former baths) that is used as the owners living quarters now, while the lower floor of this are contains a large and deep well and a very large hearth and tank for heating water, with clay pipes and a valve system that leads allows the water to run to each of the six sunken baths in the main room.   Although, this building has been converted over to a laundry for washing clothing by its most recent occupants, Fergie Shőlgur & Metha Shőlgur, who also employ a few of the locals. Some locals believe that Fergie and Metha are sisters or possibly mother and daughter, but they are partners both in business and personally/socially.   Floor plans for this establisment will follow when time permits to scan them in and get them uploaded.   Return to Channel Cities, Martelain, or the K4 Merchant’s Square District of Martelain.
