K4-21 Menander's Fish Market
This large two-story stone building with a slate roof, is in somewhat poor condition as it has not been maintained very well over the years. Originally a smithy, it had sat empty for nearly three decades after the Northern Empire seized control of the city.
But about a decade ago, Sebastián Menander & Mawunyaga Menander started selling fish out of this location, as there were no other fish markets nearby at that time. Their families have both been fishing for generations, but when Sebastián and Mawunyaga married just prior to them starting up this fish market, they agreed to pursue a living on land, due to both of their families having lost several relatives over the previous decades to bad weather and injuries. So, they decided to work with their families in South Shore who continued in the family trade, by selling a portion of what their relatives caught in the city of Martelain. They only use the front half of the building for their market and use one of the six apartments that are on the second floor. The back half of the first floor and the majority of the second floor is not used.
Floor plans for this establisment will follow when time permits to scan them in and get them uploaded.
