K4-38 Mayfal Furs

This modest-sized three-story wood building is owned by Broichan Mayfal and his wife Rujma Mayfal, who “dress” a variety of furs that they purchase from several importers as well as a few hunters that travel to the Channel Cities a few times a year to sell such furs. After dressing the furs (a multi-step process that treats the skin and hair so that it holds up long-term and can be made into a variety of other items. They use a portion of the furs that the dress to make a variety of items, such as cloaks and jackets. They also sell a portion of these treated furs to other artisans for making boots, gloves, and a variety of other clothing items.
The ground floor is their shop where their fur products are displayed and sold, and where some of the finished fur clothing items are made. The middle floor is where the dressing of the furs takes place. While the upper floor is the private living quarters of the Mayfal’s.
Of course, with the age difference that there is between Broichan and his wife Rumja, there are a lot of rumors and stories. Some believe that she is just taking advantage of an elderly and lonely man (who's wife had died about a decade ago), while others say that he is lecherous, having married a woman that is almost young enough to be his granddaughter. But they seem to be happy together. Although she is orignally from distant lands and was orphaned here in Martelain when she was quite young. As such she does not speak very good Argentum. They have been married for about two years now.
