K4-41 Dark Korner Tavern

The only indication of this being a tavern is a small sign over the door that shows a mug and the fairly-large amount of foot traffic that passes through the door. It is owned and operated by Margareta Kokotovitch and is a common drinking establishment of those who want to avoid attention. It is frequented by mercenaries and a portion of the membership of the various underworld gangs and organizations who ply their trade around the city of Martelain. It is not uncommon to find members of the Purple League or the Red Hoods hanging out in this establishment (often giving each other dirty looks). Other Organizations will sometimes visit this place also, seeking information.
The inside of the building tends to be very dark, with only a few lanterns providing minimal lighting. It also has a low ceiling, at only a little over 6 feet (2 meters) high, with the wooden support beams for the upper floor, causing even those of just below 6-foot-tall needing to duck their heads occasionally when moving around the tavern. The food is mediocre, but the drinks are of fairly-good quality, although the prices tend to be a little high, except for a handful of very low-end drink offerings.
The upper floor serves as Margareta’s living quarters. There are rumors that there are also meeting rooms that can be rented for private meetings on the upper floors.
