K4-44 Serech Pies and Pastries

Written by Adsmalley

Rumors are that Izard Serech is a good source of information about the local area (and possibly its shadowy underbelly) that is not widely known.
At one time this two-storied stone block building with a tile roof was a very large and successful bakery. But with the Northern Empire seizing control of Martelain and the large population decline that followed, the business struggles. The current owner, Izard Serech, purchased it about 30 years ago from the family that had operated it for several generations prior. Izard is starting to reach his elderly years and walks with a severe limp from a blow that had cut deep into his hip, with his hip-bone breaking but stopping the blow from being fatal. This occurred back when he worked as a bounty hunter and mercenary. He is from lands far to the west, but suffered his injury while hunting down a thief who had stolen something of great value to a merchant from the west. His reward for taking the head of the thief funded his purchase of this bakery, as he had always enjoyed the smell of baked goods growing up in his parents’ inn. But he chose the life of a mercenary, being the adventuresome type and always getting himself into trouble and eventually needing to leave town. Now, the baker only produces about 5-10% of its potential capacity, but Izard has found that he enjoys baking pies and pastries now that he has trouble getting around.   Floor plans for this establisment will follow when time permits to scan them in and get them uploaded.   Return to Channel Cities, Martelain, or the K4 Merchant’s Square District of Martelain.
