K4-59 Kensington Cloth Dyer

Written by Adsmalley

This two-story building of stone block construction with a tile roof has been used for cloth dying for generations. The current owner is Wardel Kensington.   The upper level of the building serves as his personal living quarters as well as storage for the various components used to create his dyes or to store the dyes themselves. The lower level has a small counter area next to the door, with the rest of the main floor having several large dying vats and lots of drying stands. Many large windows (none with glass) line the road, with shudders that can be closed to keep out the weather and cold when needed, but which are usually left open during the day to provide air flow for drying the dyed cloths.   Floor plans for this establisment will follow when time permits to scan them in and get them uploaded.   Return to Channel Cities, Martelain, or the K4 Merchant’s Square District of Martelain.
